Brief Bio

My principal efforts at GSFC have been studies of the Diffuse Cosmic X-ray Background using data from the HEAO-1 A2 experiment, mission planning and operations for the Broad Band X-Ray Telescope , instrument scientist for the Proportional Counter Array aboard the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer. I have participated in a variety of roles in several proposals to characterize Dark Matter and Dark Energy with an X-ray selected sample of clusters of galaxies, including most recently the Dark Universe Observatory Phase A study. I was the Instrument Scientist in the Advanced X-ray Polarimeter Small Explorer Proposal and continue to participate in the development of Photo-electric X-ray polarimetry.
