XRS-2 Photos2004-2005 at ISAS →Astro-E2 in the Clean Room

Astro-E2 stands in the clean room, surrounded by wires, gas bottles, electronics, technicians, engineers, and scientists. (102K JPEG)

After the vibration testing, it's back to the clean room for a complete functional test. Did we break anything during the vibration?

Nope! All is well!

The white tube is for blowing cold air, since the clean room is warmer than the depths of space.

Actually, this shot was taken before the vibration test, as you can tell by the absence of the sunshade at the top of the spacecraft. This was probably during a communication test; notice the horn-shaped radio antenna to the left of the spacecraft.
