XRS-2 Photos2004-2005 at ISAS →Astro-E2 on Its Side

Astro-E2 lies on its side, with the five mirrors pointing toward us. (84K JPEG)

The spacecraft in its shipping container at ISAS. This was done because it won't fit through the door between the cleanroom and vibration lab while upright. So to move the spacecraft we attach it to its shipping fixture and put it on its side.
