The spacecraft towers over us, mounted on a sleek black cylinder which is the third stage pressure vessel.  One half of the cylindrical nose fairing (with conical top) is in place, as the other half is being slid toward it. (73K JPEG)

The spacecraft mounted on the third stage, as the nose fairing is being attached around it. The blue gridwork is a support structure that will be removed after the two halves of the fairing are connected.
