Red turntable structure and concrete flame deflector. (47K JPEG)

This is the concrete flame deflector, which directs the rocket blast to the side. You can also see the turntable mechanism and its track. In the distance is the 20 meter communication antenna (used for other ISAS satellites, but will not be used for ASTRO-E).
