The connector, electrical cable, and two thin wires (45K JPEG)

One of the "flyaway" connectors, which detach from the rocket as it takes off. You can see two thin wires connected to it. The lower, loose wire is attached to the connector's release mechanism. It activates the release as the rocket starts to rise. The upper wire, which is connected to a spring, then pulls the connector away from the rocket.
