The XRS Dewar slightly visible through a hole (53K JPEG)

This is the small hole in the nose fairing which allows access to the XRS dewar. The hole will be covered by a panel before launch.

Inside you can see five red shorting plugs, which are covering the connectors we use for monitoring the Dewar temperature. At the left edge of the hole is the liquid helium fill line, with a red plug in it. You can also see a wire and pulley, which are part of the solar panel release system.
