ASTRO-E sitting on the vibration table (66K JPEG)

The spacecraft on the horizontal vibration table, ready for the x-axis shake test. We shake it rather hard, to make sure everything can withstand the rigors of launch. All those red wires taped to the table carry signals from over 100 accelerometers on various parts of the spacecraft.
